Dr. Kamler will summarize his conservation work on cats and other carnivores that he carried out in Southeast Asia as well as his current work in Brazil which also includes training bird guides and using bird ecotourism to empower women and local communities.

Originally from Kansas, Kamler obtained a PhD in Wildlife Science from Texas Tech University. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Europe, and a Marie Curie Fellow at Oxford University where he’s been based for the past 20 years.
