Well-known throughout the community for its recreational amenities (one of the best playgrounds and splash pads around!), Gilbert Regional Park is also growing in stature in the birding community. A flock of Lawrence’s Goldfinches present this winter has garnered new attention to this park. With luck, we may encounter them, in addition to a smattering of water birds and open-country species.
“Birding for All Ages” outings are child-friendly (slow-paced, beginner-oriented), and anyone is welcome to attend.
